We also tried our hand at junk food, although it just didnt seem so bad whilst dining in a France! Was a little puzzled by french baby food though. I mean the fact that all the french seem to eat is red wine, steak and pastry and yet NO ONE is overweight puzzles me immensley but on looking at the baby food I have no idea why France does not have an obesity problem to match Britain's. Readily available was chocolate, strawberry and banana flavoured baby milk! And the sugar content of the baby biscuits and desserts took my breath away. It seems that they have no problem in giving their babies food that, lets face it, you'd be arrested for giving to a baby here in Britain. Goes to show it's not so much about what you eat as how you eat it (portions and frequency I mean).
